Puppy Class-

This class is for puppies age 4-12 months of age. The class is for the entire family to find out what they should expect from the new addition to the family.  All members of the family are encouraged to participate. Exercises: sit with distraction, loose leash, down with distractions, wait, come, sit-for-greeting, hand signals:  sit, down, wait, stay, come, visit, off, leave it, drop it, as well as your specific goals you would like to incorporate into the class. At the end of class we go over all the exercises and we practice CGC activities.

Adolescent Class -

This class is for the dog ages 4 months to 24 months.  It is for the dog that is illustrating behaviors such as jumping, mouthing and just plain I don’t want to do it.  Many of the beginner commands will be taught to the dog and the owner.  Great beginner course.

Time: 6:30-7:00 (this class is a refresher class and is only 30 minutes long)

Adolescent Public Manners class -

This class is for dogs 6 months and older. It supports you and your canine companion as you navigate walking at parks/off leash areas and in your neighborhoods. It will give you the foundations you need to enjoy walking with your dogs in all places and not worry about their behaviors.

Vocabulary: Wait, Walk by, Not for you, Right/left turn, Turn Around, Far Enough, Go Visit, This way, No Visit, Cross, Recall, Slow, Easy, With me, and Sit/Down with distractions.Where: We will be on site at Robin Hill Park, Carrie Blake, Dungeness Spit and the ODT(Olympic Discovery Trail).

Time: 6 pm (First class at Carrie Blake Park near the bathrooms and the fish pond)

Socialization- (Private Consultations)A personal guide for the family of the dogs that needs some help with the interactions between human and dog or dog on dog.

Advanced Adolescent - This class is for individuals and their dog with beginner and intermediate skills.  We address common needs in this class that deal with distractions, attention, and off leash control in ALL situations.  A minimum of a beginners class is needed to enroll.   We will address all of the activities associated with the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test.  

Troubleshooting Class - This class is for the advanced or intermediate dog and owner team.  The problems that will be addressed at this class will be directed by the participants.  Off leash activities, distractions and aggression will be part of the curriculum.  This class is held on site in different areas around Sequim. 

Ring Wise - This class is for individuals that are headed for the obedience show ring.  Small classes and individual attention is at the heart of this class.  Footwork, body posture and what is expected of the exhibitor is addressed.

Maria lead an excellent group training class! I was able to feel confident learning positive reinforcement skills, real world applications, and form a connection with my rescue dog that allows us to continue working well together. Maria is gentle but firm and consistent. She understands each dogs unique needs and is able to give clear directions. We will be excited to join the next training class!
